Established in 1980 as a local arts and sports club, GCC has grown into one of the region's most respected football institutions. What began as a community-driven initiative with a passion for football has evolved into a professional academy dedicated to developing talented young players through structured coaching and long-term player development.
A major milestone was achieved in 2024 when the academy received affiliation from the All India Football Federation (AIFF), opening a direct pathway for aspiring players to compete within India's official football development system.

GCC Chalissery Football Academy believes that young players should grow as footballers without losing focus on their education. The academy schedule is designed to support football development while respecting school commitments and family priorities.
3-pillar development model
Pillar 01
Saturdays, Sundays, and school holidays · 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM
On-ground sessions focus on technical skills, tactical understanding, team play, match fitness, and decision making.
Pillar 02
20 minutes · Monday to Friday
Players receive exercise guidance, video demos, and weekly progress tracking to develop strength and consistency away from the pitch.

Monthly development sessions
Sessions help young footballers build discipline, leadership, communication, confidence, and balance between studies and sport.

Kerala Under-21 State Team, Calicut University, Viva Kerala Club, currently working as Inspector of Customs and Central GST.
Player pathway
Played AFC Cup in Bangladesh, played three seasons in the I-League, represented the Services football team four times in the Santosh Trophy, played for Calicut University, and is currently an Indian Navy football player.
Player pathway
Played in the I-League for Churchill Brothers Goa, represented the Kerala Santosh Trophy team in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2021, holds an AIFF D License, and is currently playing for the Kerala Police football team.

Holds an AFC B License, served as the Kerala Blasters U-18 Head Coach, and represented Kerala as a Santosh Trophy player in 2012.
